Don't forget the accessories - if you have more than one kid, (that includes your spouse), you'll need additional game controllers and a few extra games. Wii comes with Wii Sports 5-pk games, which in and of itself is very entertaining. Watch for Wii games to be on sale at Toys R Us within the last week of Christmas - they ran some screamin' deals last year on games right up until Christmas Eve!
