An email has been floating around warning about chocolate coins that were made with melamine hospitalizing thousands in China. I checked the email out at snopes.com and it checked out to be true. Read the email and explanation here for specifics. The candy in question is Sherwood brand pirates gold milk chocolate coins imported from China sold at Costco and dollar stores in Canada.

With Halloween approaching, make sure to check all your candy purchases and any candy your kiddos receive. Sherwood has stated that the candy in question was never vended in the U.S.A.
