I don't go to Tom Thumb (Safeway) much these days because 3 is out of school and it's not on the way anymore. Today I went in looking for the Olympic Savings Coupon book. It's been out since the Olympics started so it was no surprise they were out. However, there is a good deal on Tava Zero Calorie Sparkling Beverage. This drink is also caffeine free so for $.04 cents a can I wanted to try it out.

Delmonte canned fruit is on sale 10 for $10 (you don't have to buy 10 to get the discounted price). Rice-a-Roni/Pasta Roni 10 for $10. $ .50 coupon on smartsource.com Coupon will double making the pasta Free. (Remember, Tom Thumb only doubles the 1st of like coupons).

Kroger - Buy $20 worth of Nestle products get $5 off instantly at the register.

Nestle Juicy Juice 100% juice 4oz 8 packs are $2.39 (the larger boxes are $1 more I think). Bought 9 packs for $21.51. - $1 coupons (should be able to print 10 - update - this link does not seem to be active anymore). Minus $5 Nestle promotion = 72 boxes of juice for about $ .11 cents a box. With 3 going back to preschool he will use 2 boxes a week or one 8 pack a month. That is enough juice for the entire school year for $7.51.

Olympic Kleenex boxes are $.88. Used 3 $.50/3 MF coupons from recent inserts. If I could have found the Tom Thumb coupon booklet each box would have been free. These are normally around $1.30 a box so $.59 for me was not a bad price. That's about 55% off.

If I were to have purchased all these items not on sale and did not use any coupons, my total would have been $64.76. With coupons and store savings I saved $46.73. Divide $46.73 by $64.76 and that equals 72% saved! It pays to take advantage of store sales and coupons.
